May 5, 2004 ¡V Hong Kong. Lee Kum Kee continues to be voted as a Gold SuperBrand locally in the "Seasoning Products" category at the "Reader's Digest SuperBrands" survey in 2004. This is the sixth consecutive year Lee Kum Kee wins votes as the favourite choice of seasoning products in Hong Kong. It has also retained the Gold SuperBrand status in the same category for Asia for three consecutive years. All these awards once again prove that Lee Kum Kee is dedicated to stringent quality standards and is trustworthy in the mind of consumers.

Apart from the brands singled out and voted by Reader's Digest's readers in the 6 markets surveyed ¡V Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and the Philippines, the sampling frame was expanded to include consumers in these six countries via telephone interviews. The total sample size is 1,000 consumers per market, totalling 6,000 for the region.

Respondents from the six markets were asked to name their single preferred brand in 41 categories of products and services. They range from luxury goods to everyday necessities. The voted brands were rated quantitatively and qualitatively based on five determining factors: quality, value, trustworthiness, strong image and understanding of customer needs. SuperBrand Gold award winners achieved their status by receiving the highest ratings from consumers and their performance ranks significantly above others in the category.

The Reader's Digest SuperBrands survey has 6 years of history; last year was the 5th consecutive year that Lee Kum Kee won the SuperBrand Gold Award in the Seasoning Category, this outstanding achievement has qualified Lee Kum Kee for the most honourable "Hall of Fame" status in 2003.

On April 27, Lee Kum Kee was awarded the "1st SINA Online Ad Awards ¡V Best Promotional Concept Online Ad Award". The "Best Promotional Concept Online Ad Award" is one of the "Professional Online Ad Awards" which was judged by 5 professional judges based on design, creativity and innovation, technical implementation and interactivity and promotional concept.

Professional marketers judged the campaign based on its creativity, strategy, overall cohesiveness and continuity.
